Biography

I am pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at Northern Illinois University (Aug 2023–present), where I work as a Research Assistant at DATALab. My current research explores using Large Language Models (LLMs) to better learn and evaluate scholarly research. My work applies retrieval-augmented LLMs to predict the scholarly impact of research papers, which expedites the evaluation process and helps to learn a paper’s impact more quickly. I’m also seeking to analyze how a paper’s citations are being reframed across scientific literature and to understand how the same paper can be interpreted in different contexts.
